I watched a bit of Clive Davis’ interview on Katie Couric’s show. I couldn’t finish watching it because of the way Katie was gushing over him. I found him to be a creep. I don’t care how old he is, or what supposed wonders he has worked in the music industry. He seemed to be overly proud of the fact that Janis Joplin “wanted” to sleep with him, but he refused her. He thinks far too highly of himself and it shows. No wonder he creates drama with people who don’t follow his lead and gush over him.

Oh and as a side note, he spray paints his hair on his head. Tell tale sign of a desperate creep.

Very well said! In my opinion, your take on the situation is spot on. The fact that there even was a power struggle & not the actuality of who is right or wrong within that struggle, is the cause of the current public bashing & defending. Kelly Clarkson had the audacity to say “No, I will not just roll over” & Clive Davis is having a hard time with the fact that a young, at the time aspiring, singer would stand up to him.

I’m sure it was: “Davis is enraged that Clarkson dared question his opinion” . This kind of people tend to do that when another person doesn’t agree with them.
