My mom makes hummingbird food every Sunday. The hummingbirds visit daily and one time, one of those magical birds flew into my mom’s palm. I myself have never gotten close to a hummingbird, so when I saw this Helmet Hummingbird Feeder, known as the “Eye to Eye Wearable Hummingbird Feeder” by Heatstick, I finally felt like all my dreams could come true. After all, hummingbirds grant wishes, right? Probably not, but I can dream about that too.

If you are a bird watcher, you might know that you can’t just put the helmet on and make hummingbirds flock to you like you’re some kind of guru. Because the hummingbirds need to warm up to the helmet, Heatstick has made a graphical inlay of bright red rhododendrons on the helmet so that the hummingbirds feel like they’re flying to a flower (hummingbirds only see in ultra violet, so bright reds, pinks or oranges stand out to them). Heatstick does say that it’s important to leave the helmet outside so that the hummingbirds will get used to it.
To see the Helmet Hummingbird Feeder in action from both the inside and outside of the helmet, check it out here:
