ITEM OF THE DAY Item of the Day: Eat24 app
Almie Rose

All I’ve ever wanted is a free robot butler, so when Eat 24 advertised their new iPhone and Android app as a, “free robot butler” I didn’t ask questions. I downloaded. It is, admittedly, not a robot butler, but I think it’s better, because this way I don’t have to worry about having to make small talk with a robot butler.

Eat24 has been my shining light, my guiding star, my audacity of hope. It’s a food delivery website. They pride themselves on helping you get food without having to wear pants, and that’s something I fully believe in. Now they have an app, and it’s my new favorite thing. I enter my address, and it shows whatever is around me, including which places deliver for free and who takes coupons, and Eat24 loves to give out coupon codes, once they had a code for “one free unicorn” I don’t even know, you guys. (SCROLL DOWN FOR A SPECIAL HG COUPON.)

The best part is that I don’t have to talk to anyone. I get to order whatever I want, it saves my credit card info, and then I wait for food. I can do this all my phone, without having to talk to anyone. I can’t stress that part enough. Admittedly, this is dangerous, because I am hilariously broke. You can also instantly message their 24 hour support team if you have any questions, like Chuck Norris did.

When they found out how much I loved them, (and oh God it’s so sad how psyched I was to talk to a food delivery service, but damn it, I love food) they wanted to give all HelloGiggles readers a coupon for a free appetizer or $5.00 off! Use the code giggles when you check out. For more info on the coupon, click here. Some restrictions apply.

Now excuse me, I have some Thai food I have to stuff in my face.

  1. Booyah. Downloaded. I can’t wait to try this!

  2. Same with Australia :c Nothing is available here, not even Netflix :(

  3. Having to talk to people is honestly the reason I will go hungry 50% of the time. No, that’s ok, I’ll Bridget Jones it and scrape the mold of the cheese if it gets me out of calling. Unfortunately though I live in the middle of nowhere literally so I have a feeling this won’t work so well.

  4. I wish some of these cool websites had more love for their Northern friends! Hello, I am a Canadian, and I hate talking to people to order food, too… everyone seems so judgemental! If I want to order a special dinner for 4, for just my boyfriend and I, that’s my prerogative. Hmph.

Cool site. Hope it expands :)

    • I hear ya! The moment of joy I feel when I see a cool app or website is almost always coupled with the disappointment when I find out it’s not available in Canada.
As always, fingers crossed for updates.

      • BLAME CANADA! BLAME CANADAAA! Sorry, I will not turn down the opportunity to quote “South Park.” xo.
