ITEM OF THE DAY Item of the Day Annie Stamell

Okay, so I’m convinced that Ellio’s pizza is not actually pizza but who cares because boy, is it delicious! I wish I was eating some at a little league ballpark right now. Yeah, I’d order it from the snack shack while my brother played baseball and I hung out with his friends’ little siblings and crushed on a lot of dudes but definitely did not share any of my Ellio’s pizza with them but maybe some of my Big League Chew. See, Ellio’s is the kind of food that, with just one bite, has the weird ability to transport you back to a time and place. Mmm. Tastes like nostalgia and nostalgia tastes good!

  1. They do not sell Ellio’s where I live, and it makes me sad. I heart Ellio’s.

  2. Oh god, I didn’t know the name of it, but YES. This is the fabled “pop-tart pizza” we got in elementary school (so nicknamed because of the smooth rectangular crust studded with little holes just like a Pop Tart). Thank you for putting a brand name on my nostalgia!

  3. We were pretty broke when we were growing up- but my mother always allowed us this ONE processed food on their date night =)

  4. YEEEESSS!!! This was the ULTIMATE dinner when I was like 8! SQUARE PIZZA 4 EVAHHHH!!!

  5. I never realized it had a name! But thats definitely what they gave us at school!

  6. Its hard for me to believe that there are people out there who have never heard of Ellios pizza…What the hell were they doing when they were 12?…missing out, clearly.

  7. They totally used to feed us Ellio’s on pizza day at my hoity-toity Catholic School. ICS must have had stock in Ellio’s or something the way they whored it out to we small children who entered those halls of learning. Man, 5th grad pizza day, brings back great memories.
