ITEM OF THE DAY

Item of the Day

In case you didn’t catch on from that Open Letter a few weeks ago, I’m a total Lisa Frank fanatic. Sadly, the only Lisa Frank item from my childhood that I’ve kept in good condition all these years is my beloved diary, so you can imagine my glee upon discovering that not only are Lisa Frank items being reissued in Walmart stores across the country, but you can buy your Lisa Frank faves and must-haves right now from the Lisa Frank Facebook Mini Store.

It’s way too hard to pick just one thing, but for the sake of the Item of the Day I had to go with the “Classic School Assortment”. I bought this online about a month ago and couldn’t be happier. You get two folders, a trapper keeper (and yep that Velcro ripping noise as you open the binder is just as exciting as ever!), pencils, stationary, erasers, a ruler, a notebook, and some classic stickers. Oh and a pencil holder that has a magnetic strip on it that’s just perfect for the fridge! And there’s more stuff but I’m just too excited to even remember all of it!

This collection is so much fun – perfect for Lisa Frank fans of any age!

I loved my old Lisa Frank sticker collection! The other day I wished I still had my Lisa Frank sticker book. =( But thanks for the link for I shall rebuild my collection again. Haha.

This info is very exciting for me- I was a total Lisa frank junkie! I mean, does it get any better than unicorns and cheetahs w/ neon spots all frolicking in a sea of pastels? I think not!

One of my mom’s neighbors has been handing out Lisa Frank pencils & erasers at Halloween for a few years. My daughter loved it, and at her school they had a snobby thing about sparkly pencils, food erasers, and pencil grips. Trapper keepers are not allowed at her school, so it’s all about the stickers to put on your school-provided planner. Just so you know.

Do you think they’ll make fun of me if I use these at law school? Real question: do I care if they do? These are amazing, I haven’t thought about them in years!

I remember being in grade two and everyday we had to attempt to complete a sheet of 100 math problems. When you were done and got them right, you got to choose a prize from the prize bag. I suck at math but I remember the first time I completed the sheet, I picked out a lisa frank pack like the one in the pic. I was SO proud of myself. haha :D

I found my old lisa frank trapper keeper a few months ago while clearing out my childhood bedroom. I also found my collection of troll dolls, california raisin figurines, an autographed picture of Mario Lopez a la SBTB and many other prized possessions. I’m a teacher now (both middle and high school) and carry my student’s homework around in said trapper keeper… this is how they know I’m baller.

I used to get the Lisa Frank glitter-by-number sets. You’d peel off all the places with a 1, then pour whatever color glitter, it’d stick, then repeat with the other numbers. I wish I could find some of those nowadays.

I love this. It was my birthday last week and someone (god bless) got me a lisa frank coloring book. Too much fun.

I NEED a Lisa Frank coloring book!

I am the most un-artistic person on the planet, but whenever I’m at the dollar store I buy a coloring book. It’s totally therapeutic for me, not too mention the smell of crayons (and just the sensation of using them) gives me the warm fuzzies.

Holy crap. I suspect I’ll be making a Walmart trip soon. Mama needs a new set of Lisa Frank stickers.

Ha nice. I loved her stuff too when I was wee in elementary school. Totally makes me remember the ever important “back to school” shopping days. Too bad shes really.. unpleasant to work with. She also named her kids shades of green and I’m really not sure how I feel about that.
