As a usually-windswept, low-maintenance kinda girl, I have always had pretty disastrous hair. My absolute refusal to spend more than 5 minutes on my hair in the morning plus tendency for split ends means sleek, long hair is something I only ever dreamed of.
Then I discovered Moroccanoil. They have versions for different hair types and hair colours, and it seems to do different things for different people. I use it to make my hair straight, my friend uses it to emphasise her curls. My hair now splits so rarely that I’ve saved tons of money on haircuts and – of course – it’s LONG! Hooray!
Moroccanoil is great for two main reasons. One: it’s easy. You just work a little bit (the bottle lasts for ages) through your hair half way through blow-drying. Two: it soaks into the hair rather than coating it, so you don’t get the greasy residue that you get from hair serums.
I’ve always been a real sceptic about gimmicky skincare and haircare products, but I’m completely obsessed with Moroccanoil.
Plus, if you don’t believe me, believe Zooey.
