ITEM OF THE DAY Item of the Day Alessandra Rizzotti

If you love pretending that you live in a cabin or the forest or a cabin in the forest (but not a creepy cabin in the forest) as much as I do, then you would love this Chipmunk Turntable by Audiowood on Etsy.  Combining technology with natural materials, Audiowood made this masterpiece with a solid Ash round, Music Hall Audio belt-drive parts, a tonearm, metal platter, felt platter mat and an installed Music Hall Tracker cartridge.  It uses 120 US Voltage, but a 230 Voltage transformer is available.

If you’re an audio or record geek that doesn’t mind spending a pretty large amount of pennies on a record player, this is for you.  It’s beautifully crafted and incredibly reliable (Audiowood’s designs have been featured in The New York Times, California Home and Design, Metropolitan Home, The Absolute Audiophile, and on BoingBoing).  If you’re into the digital music scene and would like to spend a little less, get a sweet iPhone nest HERE. Your ears would be pleased!
