Item of the Day

As a flats-only kinda girl (I can’t walk in heels at all!) I was so excited when TOMs announced its adorable line of ballet flats. However, most styles got picked up so quickly that pretty much any design I want is on back order until April 10th. April 10th! Do you know how far that is from now?! I could be dead by the time these things finally come back around to me.

But I will try my best to stay alive, because I absolutely must own the the Lina’s.

I bought them and they’re kind of uncomfortable. If you own toms, you know about the stretching. but, keep in mind, these ones don’t stretch! I had to send mine back because they were a tad too small. so sad.

but so incredibly cute. complete every ensemble. <3

I didn’t know how to walk in heels until I was 27. They still scare the shit out of me, but I do it because they look so good. I know you’ll cave McAleer!
    Until then, Lina’s every day.

Whoa they look amazing! but the sad thing is that unless almost every woman, I can’t wear flats. I need to wear some kind of heel -even if it’s just a little, like in Converse or Vans, but I need to wear them… so I hardly ever go with flats. But they look gorgeous”

These shoes are amazing! I bought the linen ones and wear them almost everyday. Be sure to order them a half size smaller than what you’d normally get because they do run a little big. If you can’t find the ones you want on the toms site you should look at nordstroms–they also carry almost all of them and they offer free shipping!

I can’t wear heels either! I’m about 6 feet tall, and I just can’t seem to walk steadily in them anyway. These are so cute and they come in 11s! Woohoo!

Thank you so much for this! I am hearing impaired…and have no balance tubes. I have been trying to walk in heels for years but I end up walking like I’m drunk…all the time in heels. So I’m starting to slowly move into the world of flats….this is awesome!

I’ve been eyeing them for a while now I just can’t find it in my to give in for that price ;( but I want them so bad.

Another girl here who can not walk in heels! I broke my left foot 2 years ago and my left ankle when I was 16 years old so anything higher than 1.5″ I can not handle. These shoes are cute and I hope you get them soon!

I used to be into TOMS several years ago, until I learned that the for-profit company manufactures their shoes in China, in the same factories that Adidas and Nike come from. The company exploits African children to make profit off the cheap sweatshop child labor of Asian children. It’s not a charity. At least Nike does not pose as a charity to make a profit. Also, if you know how aid works, there are things societies need more than shoes, such as education that will earn them more money to feed and clothe their children for life. If you think the shoes are cute, by all means wear ’em! I just hate when good-hearted people think they are supporting a good cause, when they aren’t. Research and learn for yourself. :) <3
