I don’t know why, but there are so many amazing Japanese products that I need to purchase for my life and the Pan Pita, today’s Item of the Day, is no exception.
A couple months ago, I was in NYC cruising some shops, when the Pan Pita and I first met. I was instantly excited by the little contraption and wanted to own it before I even knew what it did.
The Pan Pita is a sandwich press, that allows you to essentially make your own Uncrustables. However, you don’t need to stop with PB&J’s. You can literally add any filling you desire between two slices of bread, put your sandwich between the two sides of the press and you’ve got your own little pita creation. As the simple, yet catchy headline states, the Pan Pita, “Let’s you make bread sandwiches!” That, along with the affordable, under $5 cost, is something I can get behind.
I’m going to order a Pan Pita, and it’s going to change my sandwich life. Here are some fillings I would use to make my delicious creations:
- Apples, brie, and turkey
- Bacon, lettuce, and tomato
- Hummus and roasted vegetables
- Feta, cucumber, red onion, olives
- Bacon, eggs, and cheese
- Buffalo chicken, celery, blue cheese
The little pitas can also be toasted in a pan or in the oven for next level sandwich goodness.
What kind of creations would you make?
