Newspapers may be dying out, but newspaper furniture is definitely in. Not that I prefer digital forms of news, I’m just happy to report that dated newspapers are being recycled and transformed into a more permanent form — as tables, chairs, stools, and love seats! Designer Yasmin Sethi bases her furniture on the principle that when newspapers are handrolled, into cylinders, they have more vertical strength than individual pieces of paper. Sethi also uses petal shaped folds to distribute weight evenly in her tables. See more of Sethi’s work here and buy her newspaper furniture by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
