
Patriotic Cake: This is a cake my bestie Laura Wolford and I made a few years ago for the 4th of July. It took 3 batches of buttercream frosting to create this little puppy, PLUS fondant. If you want to spend 4 hours in the kitchen, this is the cake for you!

This was my attempt at a flag cake yesterday. It kinda looks like it was made by a 5-year old, but I bet it’ll taste good at least! (It’s Funfetti cake!) I didn’t have any white decorations so I had to improvise. http://twitpic.com/5ks47e
Next time maybe I’ll try something more ambitious! I’m not sure if I’m quite ready for fondant though!
