This Saturday is a big day, big day! Champagne Problem of the week is Women’s Rights. Boom. It’s happening. We are women, hear us roar and burp and sing. This Saturday across the nation, men and women everywhere are uniting for a positive cause to unite for the rights of women. Now, before you get your angry panties in a bundle of hateful commentary, just know I was asked to host this event not because I am out for a fight with those that believe otherwise, I am merely out for awareness to make a worthwhile difference when it comes to a human being’s rights. Some people would prefer to sit this one out, but since I am a woman that can produce a human in her body in 9 months flat, I feel I have something pretty fantastical to add to the cause.
You might be wondering, “Well, women have all their rights. What’s even being taken away?” And to you I say, listen here handsome donkey person living under a rock, women’s rights are challenged just like many other people’s rights are challenged daily, but not enough information is being tossed around to absorb the reality. Henceforth, on April 28th #WOW (war on women) is speaking out to claim “enough is enough”. Sassy, right? Now, are we burning bras? I don’t think so. (But I can’t guarantee that.) Are we marching with hysterically vibrant signs from a comedic perspective? Absolutely. Should you come out to your local march in a city near you and demand that your female (and male… and transgender, obviously) voices be heard? Yes! Now you’re getting it!

This is a peaceful protest that says, “Hey man, leave my ladyparts out of your politics.” Nothing fancy and biting, just unity in allowing people to live their life with a choice. Religion and politics aside, this is to bring people together for a positive cause, not rift them apart with bullied perspectives. As you will see on FunnyorDie.com, Susan Sarandon added her two cents on a video Melissa Stephens and I (JC Coccoli) wrote to shed some humor on a rather serious subject.
Take the time when you can to do some Google city USA-ing and get to know what’s being challenged in the world of Women’s Rights. You are better knowing, than ignoring. Happy Champagne Problem of the week you sassy kit-kat, you!
