soda machines. Bring a six pack of your favorite to work, make the ice in the freezer, and stop paying 75cents tp $1 a can to The Man. I did have to put a sign on it so no one would drink it though. lol

Also coffee. Make your own at work- bringing really good ground coffee is still %99 cheaper than going to StarBUCK$. It’s like a mortgage payment. Yes, I am a homeowner now. So I tell myself there’s some things I just don’t care about looking “cool” or not. Screw “The Man! ”

Looking out for #1. Once you drink down that overpriced coffee, it’s a mortgage payment you can never get back, if you are there every day.

Coffee shops are the devil. There are three within a 3 minute walk of my office. To leave my office during lunchtime is a trap.

I know I saved a ridiculous amount over the years by having a librarian mother. All fees waived. You could keep a book for sooo long (except if someone else had requested it). Luckily, my library has a $10 max fine.

I’m also the worst at returning things…I still have an extra Rubbermaid water jug in my closet from when I went all paranoid during the last hurricane. Lol.

lol…I’m sorry but, did I write this article? At the moment I have library fees waiting for me, unreturned items in my trunk and have definitely left the mall thinking “when did I buy all this stuff?”

Those are some really good ideas in saving money by being responsible. My friend once used my library card and lost the book she ended up having to pay around $64.00 bucks! More than triple the amount if the book. I’m not sure why but be careful when you lend to someone. I’ve also lost around $200 lending money to a friend who never plans to pay it back. That’s an unfortunate thing for other people who need the money who ask me now but unless I have extra which I don’t nowadays I can’t be giving free handouts.
