Why is this issue always presented as either jungle or jailbait? Either we’re playing into the hands of a patriarchal society or making some huge statement against it? Well, I’m not going to play that game. What I do with my ladyparts is my business. (For the record, I trim things up but don’t remove everything – a thin layer of hair stays – and that way I feel comfortable *and* clean. Taking it all off is time-consuming, itchy, and potentially painful, and not taking any off is actually painful as well, since the hair gets caught in my underwear and ain’t nobody got time for that.) You do what’s right for your undercarriage, and I’ll do what I want with mine, and can we stop making this a huge issue now? Awesome. (In case of angry people, I’d like to include as a disclaimer that I am more addressing society-at-large than the author of this article.)

and funny thing is that I have actually read that most men (real men IMO) (or at least to my knowledge) actually prefer their women with hair…down there. Not that any of their opinions should affect our decisions of our own body image…

I love this! I am 19 and feel aaallll that horrible pressure to shave, pluck, wax or whatever but I refuse! Yes, I keep it trimmed and make sure it’s not sticking out the side of my bathers but there is no bloody way in hell I would ever let anyone TEAR WAX OFF MY VAGINA! Ouch! Being young, as I am, without hair down there I just feel like a little kid. I don’t have sexy curves, I’m all straight up and down and my boobs are only average, so that hair is like proof that yes, I am a woman! To be honest, my boyfriend actually doesn’t like me shaving or waxing. I did for a while and he hated it (mostly because I would complain about ingrown hairs and the likes) which is totally amazing. I can be me, I can be hairy and yes I do feel sexy, so what is it to anyone else?
