Anyone that knows me knows that I am crazy about ice cream. I love it so much, in fact, that my yearbook quote was “Without ice cream life is meaningless.” This just as true for me now as it was when I chose it senior year of high school.

With summer approaching, this sweet treat has been on my brain even more, if that is even possible. Therefore, today’s gallery is focused on this delicious indulgence. One of the greatest things about ice cream, aside from the happiness that it is guaranteed to bring, is the variety. And I’m not only speaking in terms of flavors. There are so many different ways one can have ice cream. From milkshakes to sundaes to sandwiches to cones, there is an ice cream treat that is bound to appeal to everyone.

My favorite way to have ice cream is at those self-serve ice cream/frozen yogurt places. I love to mix multiple flavors and load on the toppings like cookie dough, banana, brownies and sprinkles. I could go on and on about my love of ice cream, but I think it might be better and more fun to look at some of these delicious photos I’ve gathered. What are some of your favorite ice cream flavors?

  1. ….and the cravings begin! I have had ice cream cravings for weeks after catching a unique eats on cooking channel that was AMAZING! I could really get into a fresh waffle cone stuffed with the cold creamy goodness right now!

  2. Root beer floats should finally make their way to Europe! Ice cream is the best food ever. I declared war on my lactose intolerance and got an ice cream tattoo on my shoulder. And I really, really want to try Superman now.

  3. the unidentified cone, bottom row, second from the right is superman! it’s my favorite, and i’m pretty sure it’s exclusive to michigan, maybe only in the midwest. i want to say the flavors are sugar cookie (yellow), blue moon (blue), and red pop (red). if i could find it in nyc, i’d be the happiest girl on the planet.

  4. I heard the A&W’s are disappearing, which is sad- I’ve lived a few blocks away from one my entire life- my bro’s not even sure where else in SoCal they are :(

  5. There’s a custard place down the street from me that makes chocolate, vanilla and a ‘flavor of the week’. A few weeks back their flavor of the week was cake batter, and they made a concrete (like a blizzard but with custard) with cake batter custard, a red velvet cupcake (with cream cheese frosting duh!) and sprinkles mixed together.

It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever eaten. AHHH. So good.
