From Our ReadersI Need To Find My Busy PhilippsFrom Our Readers

The relationship between Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps has ignited the writer inside of me. I long for something they have, a true Best Friend Forever.

It has been a long time since I have had a best friend. Four years to be exact. I feel a hole where I should have a female friend to go to with all my troubles, happy times and life events. I have a very large social network and a boyfriend of four years that I love, but I am missing that BFF. The girl that I am supposed to tell everything to. The girl that is there for me when I most need someone. If I were to find that person, I would hope she would be like Busy Philipps. Oh and don’t get me wrong, I am in no way, shape or form comparing myself to Michelle Williams. I am just stating that she has the perfect friend. These are the reasons why (or at least in my mind why, because I don’t know these girls personally):

She is real. Most people might want to be around Busy because she is best friends with Michelle Williams. I hate to say it, because it is a silly reason for people to want to be friends with her, but its true. However, it seems as though Busy doesn’t blink an eye to this. She is a true, real, honest forever friend to Michelle Williams. She doesn’t ever use the fame of Michelle to make her way in Hollywood. She likes people for who they are and hasn’t let fame or fortune get in the way of that. She seems real to Michelle as well as to the person she bumps into on the street. Really, one of the best traits in a best friend. She will also tell it to you like it is. No “you look great” when in reality the dress makes you look 10 lbs heavier, and the color dulls your skin. If she doesn’t like your boyfriend, she will tell you. If she doesn’t like your haircut, she will tell you that, too. But, she will also let you know when things are right. Honesty is a hard thing to find in a person and Busy seems to have that refreshing quality of telling the truth.

She is fun. Without a doubt Michelle brings Busy to award shows, not just because they are like family, but because Busy knows how to have fun, without getting sloppy. She is a comforting soul that will take care of you when your lipstick is smudged and will make fun of you if you trip on the red carpet, or stair, or on your long dress. She has the hand wipes, the Kleenex and the power bar that is oh so important. She has your back through thick or thin. I would want her by my side too. Busy can be more then a friend, she can be motherly and safe. I have also heard that she can put together a pretty great impromptu party which is always the best. I would hope that my best friend would make me happy and exude party planning skills to the fullest!

She is the first one there. When unfortunate events happened in Michelle Williams’ life, it seems as though Busy was the first one there for her dear friend. She is someone you can rely on and trust will be there in the toughest of times. The kind of friend that will cry with you and care for you, but will also pick you up, dust you off and tell you to jump back in. That kind of support is priceless.

She is full of energy. Sometimes it is hard to get out of bed in the morning. It can be hard to get through a day of work or just sometimes days are unhappy. Busy, with all of the sunshine in her being, can turn that around with a simple smile. A day that otherwise would have been spent in pajama’s eating ice cream watching bad movies, can turn into a day of shopping, cocktails and girl talk, all because your best friend has that special energy that creates sparks and makes life interesting again.

I can only hope that someday I will find my Busy. I am sure that the above mentioned traits don’t even touch the surface of how great Busy probably really is. Michelle is one lucky girl. Keep the sunshine going, Busy.

Michelle Williams is one of my best friends and she always looks flawless. She’s one of the most beautiful girls whom I’ve ever seen in person. Going anywhere with your best friend is fun. Our favorite moment is at the end of the night when we can unzip the dresses and finally have a glass of champagne or wine.

Michelle Williams on Busy Philipps
It’s always fun to be with Busy. It’s fun to be stuck in the desert with no gas with Busy. You know, she’s just my favorite.

So Busy, thank you for being a role model for all best friends out there. You are the best.

This post made me sad thinking about my college roommate and how we used to be that close. Now we live states away from each other, and really only talk via facebook. I miss having a BFF….

I thought I had my Busy, but, sadly, it ended up that she wasn’t any of those things in the long run…which kind of sucks because I tried really hard to be her Busy. But the good thing is that now my Busy comes in the form of my sisters, my cousin, and my other BFF who tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to hear, but loves and supports me even when she doesn’t approve. So I’m actually better off now with 4 Busy’s of my own!

I’ve met busy phillips before and she is litterally the nicest person. She talked to everyone like they were her friends for years. She’s the best!

Well, I’m happy to report that I have my very own Busy Philipps. I don’t really know if she’s like Busy Philpps at all, of course, since I don’t know her, but I have a bestie that is one in a million to find. I’m so lucky! We do almost everything together, and there’s barely a day when we won’t talk or text, if we can’t get together, that is. We have fun, we can talk to each other about anything, nomatter how personal, and be sure that our ‘secret’ is safe, we understand each other and we trust each other completely. I have a few good friends, but she is the only person I can say that for. I know that whatever happens, she would NEVER, EVER do something to intentionally hurt me. Nor will I. I know it, for life.
It really is true that friends are the siblings we choose

That gave me goosebumps. I’d like my own Busy too.
