I love this and I love Edna. But as a die-hard Simpson fan, I have to point out some things. I’m just a nerd like that. Edna dated Moe, when she was first in town and he was pretending to be a good guy. Edna left Skinner at the alter, not the other way around, saying that she didn’t want to be with a man who didn’t want to be with her. After that fateful non-wedding day, she had a rebound thing with Comicbook Guy, aka Jeffery Albertson. At the end of the episode where it is revealed that America wants “Nedna”, there was a disclaimer saying what the public has voted for, let no writer tear apart, etc.

Whew. Got that out of my system. Ha!

This is so well written! How haven’t I thought of Edna as a metaphor for the American public education system. Hahaha. So many of my friends are drowning as new teachers because the system demands so much and give so little. I will pass this on and give them hope for a consistent (if not brighter) future; which may or may not include a marriage to Ned Flanders.
