I’m not sure I understand. Do you stand with Planned Parenthood?
The origins of the center may not be “pure” but neither is the USA’s (Trail of Tears, anyone?) What they do NOW is the important part. No matter what Sanger might have said during her crazy-time, the women (and men!) who use PP need PP to stay open to lead healthy lives.

This gets me so frustrated as well. I am an active user of Planned Parenthood for so many different things, especially the free services. I try to donate when I can, but I depend on my PP to be there for me when I need her most!!

The fact that people don’t seem to understand that it is more than a ‘murdering clinic’ drives me nuts. It’s a womans choice. Funny how the people leading the movement against it are dudes. LETS SEE YOU HAVE AN UNWANTED PREGNANCY BRO.

Kudos on the Planned Parenthood piece! Again, the religion mixed with political views. I mean yay for religion! But, sometimes it leaves Politian’s with tunnel vision. Everyone has different needs. Not everyone is in the same situation as you. Like you said… Who cares, right?

Planned Parenthood does provide much needed health services to many many women and for that I applaud them, but their origins are just sooooo…*shiver*…Eugenics? Really? If you aren’t familiar with the organization’s origins then do a quick sweep of the internet for Margaret Sanger…some of her intentions were noble and some of them were just straight up f*ed up. Forced sterilization for the “unfit” (“unfit” meaning low income, mentally challenged, etc).
If you really want to be shocked, track down her quote about Australian Aborigines.

I agree very good piece. This subject gets me so fired up. I use planned parenthood and I would hate to be deprived of it just because I can’t afford health care. Also, I once asked my tennis playing ex boyfriend about the whole 3 sets for women versus 5 sets for men. He told me that it is because men have more stamina and can handle playing for that long of a time. Basically he meant physically men are stronger than women. With beefed up women like Serena Williams out there playing I have a hard time believing she could be famished after only three sets. Any woman in good physical shape can last five sets.
