Slideshows Hunks of the '80s Danielle Romeo

I’ve been re-watching a bunch of older movies recently, and have subsequently began developing (or re-developing in some cases) crushes on all of the hot actors in them. I mean, I’m not the only one who thinks that the ’80s were full of total babes, right? (I hate myself for using the phrase “total babes”. Did I accidentally travel back in time to Sweet Valley High or something?  Gag me with a spoon.)

But seriously, though. There were some seriously hot ’80s hunks.

Like Ryan Gosling hot, only before Ryan Gosling got hot.

So for today’s gallery, I put together photos of some of the most drool-worthy ’80s hotties (Google spellcheck is trying to tell me that “hotties” isn’t a word. GOD, Google, don’t you remember the ’90s?) for your daydreaming pleasure.

Just try not to think about the fact that most of them are around your dad’s age now.

Sorry.

  1. Michael Schoeffling’s whereabouts: one of the biggest unsolved mysteries on the web. I’ve read a lot of versions, people have reported sightings but nothing has been confirmed. He is hot!

  2. Amazing walk down memory lane. :) What is ridiculous is that some of these men have actually only gotten more attractive. How is that even possible?! I’d add George Clooney to this list. I don’t recall him gracing my Teen Beat magazines, but I mean, hello, “George” on The Facts of Life and “Booker” on Roseanne…

  3. Judd Nelson DEFINITELY should have been in this list… he was the ultimate iconic 80′s bad boy, thanks to his role of “John Bender” in The Breakfast Club. Stop my beating heart! lol

  4. Where is James Spader circa Pretty in Pink???

  5. YES to all of this! I love this post! 80s hunkdom is such a great topic! So glad to see you have my faves: Johnny Depp, Rob Lowe, River Phoenix! I have so say- Robert Downey Jr (then and now) and James Spader (80s only) do it for me as well! Can we make baseball cards of 80s hot guys? Pogs?

  6. Oh my love of Emilio runs deep…was I the only 4th grader that had a crush on Gordon Bombay?

  7. That Jason Bateman poster cracks me up! WOW! indeed.

  8. Comfortable in my manhood I can easily say, Michael Schoeffling (Jake Ryan) is an adonis. Even Mickey Rourke before his transformation into Robert DeNiro’s Frankenstein, was quite the steam inducer for the ladies.

  9. No Andrew McCarthy? Man.

  12. John Cusack is still my favorite and always will be! But I agree with twitter user @ambermasika – no Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles?! I don’t care that he only did that one movie he was gorgeous!

  13. eric stoltz! john cusack! yeah.
