ENTRTNMNT The Hunger Games!
Sophia Rossi

The Hunger Games is going to be my everything and most likely everything to all of you. This trilogy (three delicious books) written by Suzzane Collins were a huge part of my last two years. I don’t want to brag, but I read them each in a day. Power reader much? No, I just loved them so much.

The concept is basically simple. It’s the future and the world is divided into districts. A boy and a girl  from each district are chosen by drawing to fight for their life in the TELEVISED event (think Survivor gone really dark). All of these elements make for a perfect combo.

I think it’s important to always think about what your own personal skill sets would be in the event of your own city becoming a district and you need to suddenly fight for your life. I would have the power of communication and sleep. Not saying I would win, but I would get down to top 4 at least. Let’s also not forget the love story or triangle in these books. Who should Katniss pick?

What do you guys think of the trailer? Are you excited?

  1. bahhhh i’m forcing myself not to read any comments because i’m only halfway through the 1st book…yeah i’m taking a break from reading it to do internet searches on it….you do the math.

  2. I can’t wait! I read the first two books back to back over 2 days. Literally, nothing but reading for a solid two days and then I realized I was ignoring my grown up responsibilities and life in general, so I read Mockingjay in 4 days. They’ve really left a mark on me and I love the books soooo much the last thing I want is for them to screw up this movie, so I’m totally encouraged by the trailer!

  3. just ordered the trilogy from play.com, can’t wait!!

  4. OBSESSED with The Hunger Games!!!! So excited for the movies, the trailer totally pumped me up!!

  5. SO STOKED!! I am almost done with Catching Fire now…

  6. I love the Hunger Games so much, I literary cried when I watch the the trailer I’m so excited and happy! :)

  7. If Jennifer Lawrence is half as good in this as she was in Winter’s Bone, it will be amazing.

  8. I loved the hunger games! When I first read them I couldn’t stop, it was like crack. I can’t wait for this!

  9. Oh man, not how I imagined it – but SO EXCITED! Totally love Josh Hutcherson, so that is a plus for the series!

  10. I love them so much! I read all three of them in 2 days. Could not put them down. I love the trailer. Everyone in it is so pretty!

  11. Waaaaaaait. how am I just now hearing about this?! HOLY CRAP! YESSSSS!

  12. I’m beyond excited! The Hunger Games is my new Harry Potter! Hoping the movies will be as good as the books. Or I’ll be pissed!

  13. OMG! I love Hunger Games pretty much! Actually I didn’t imagine the clothes or the characters like that… For me Gale was the hottest thing on earth! (nor that Thor’s little brother isn’t but… meh.) Peeta Mellark was cuter and Katniss’ skin was darker :/ as Rue’s, I thought Rue was supposed to be more dark. District 12 was less happy and colourful but had more buildings and things… Nah, better to stop now. BUT I’m not saying it’s a bad movie, I cried watching the reaping scene on the trailer!! OMG! If the trailer could do that I wander what will happen when Rue comes into scene…

    • I agree with you about the clothes, the characters, and the way District 12 looks! But I guess it’s never how you imagine it. I also pictured Gale with more anger in his eyes and way hotter, Peeta to look a little more angelic. The glimpse of the Capitol looked amazing, better than I ever imagined it.

  14. I’m oh so excited for this and snow white. :)

  15. Excited, excited, excited, excited, excited! The trailer was absolutely perfect. The reaping was heartrending, and just… omigawsh. Cannot wait for March! The books are designed to be read in a day apiece.
