Holiday Gift GuidesHoliday Gift Guide: Home Goods to Make Your Space BrightDiana Denza

This is my first holiday without the ‘rents or a gaggle of roomies by my side. Besides scouring the ‘Net for the perfect presents for my gal pals and frantically wrapping and shipping boxes to relatives across the country, I have an entire apartment to decorate all on my own. So, to add the spirit of the season to my space, I picked up a few festive home goods (that are way adorable, too!).

Here are 10 pieces that have made my pad the place to be this winter. Enjoy!

1. St. Nicholas Square Gingerbread Vinyl Placemat ($2, Kohls.com)

Gingerbread men, glitter, and cupcakes make this placemat the girly girl’s winter wonderland. Bring on the snow, ‘cause we’ll be cooking up some serious spirit with this sparkling table décor!

2. Charlie Brown Christmas Tree ($20, Fredflare.com)

Now you can own a piece from the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas film. Not only does this make me nostalgic for my childhood days spent watching Snoopy and friends, but it’s absolutely effortless. As soon as guests take a peek at this pine, you’ll hear all the “awws” without having suffered through the hours of decorating.

3. Snow in a Can ($9.50, Fredflare.com)

Since I will be spending Christmas in Florida, this is at the top of my wish list. Because nothing beats waking up to family, friends, and snow flurries!

4. Cane You Join Me Tea Infuser ($12.99, Modcloth.com)

Peppermint tea + this tiny infuser = perfect winter morning. This is one equation I won’t mind thinking about during my Christmas vacay.

5. Santa Suit Beer Cozy ($6, Urbanoutfitters.com)

For those winter nights spent drinking by the fire. And no, I don’t mean hot cocoa.

6. St. Nicholas Square Palm Tree Decorative Pillow ($11.25, Kohls.com)

Channel toasty days spent lounging under the sun even if the weather outside is frightful! And if you’re still donning tees and minis in that warm climate (you lucky lady!), this will add a dose of holiday cheer to that air conditioned apartment.

7. Gaga’s Workshop Unicorn Stocking ($65, Barneys.com)

Confession: I’d choose Lady Gaga over Santa any day, especially when 25 percent of proceeds from every item in her Barneys collection is going to the Born This Way Foundation. And with that, I’ve secured my spot on the Naughty List.

8. Hanukkah Electronica Menorah ($20.00, Uncommongoods.com)

I’m not Jewish, but my landlord’s entire family is, so I’m using that as an excuse to pretend I know what I’m talking about when it comes to menorahs. You guys, not only is this item totally safe (it runs on batteries), but you can carry it around everywhere because it’s pocket-sized! So, go ahead and take the Festival of Lights with you to the office!

9. Mickey Mouse Hanukkah Mug ($11.95, Disneystore.com)

Reign in the holidays with this irresistibly cute Mickey mug. After all, who could possibly resist a Disney icon coupled with a hot beverage on a cold winter’s night?

10. A Very She & Him Christmas ($14.98, Sheandhim.com)

Because who wouldn’t want to be sweetly serenaded by Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward?

  1. I bought the Charlie Brown Christmas tree two days ago at Walgreens for $5 bucks! They just put them on sale. It was nice to decorate my house on a really tight budget aka unemployed. It puts a smile on my face everytime I look at it.

  2. My friend and I bought a Charlie Brown Christmas tree for our wing. It was so pathetically wonderful all the girls melted over it. And who can blame them? It was he freaking Charlie Brown Christmas Tree!

  3. I’ll admit it. I have #2 :)
