Slideshows Hockey Hotness: Get to know the LA KINGS
Chrissa Hardy

The Los Angeles Kings have had a very exciting season. They were expected to do well at the beginning, which they did. Then at some point, their leading goal-scorers were not scoring goals. If it hadn’t been for the brilliant goaltending of  Jonathan Quick, the 8th and final spot of the playoffs would not have been possible. Here we are in Stanley Cup Finals and the Kings are finally getting some well-deserved recognition.

When you think of pro-athlete hotties, hockey players might not immediately come to mind. Sure, they might be missing some teeth and in-between concussions, but these men are MAGNIFICENT. These dapper dudes are extremely well-conditioned and can move and pass the puck seamlessly down the ice all while avoiding paralyzing hits into the boards. Oh, and most of them could put Olympic Figure Skaters to shame with their skill and grace on the ice.

Let’s get to know some of them.

Matt Greene- #2 Defense, 29 years old. From Grand Ledge, Michigan.

Jarret Stoll- #28 Center, 29 years old. From Melville, Saskatchewan.

Mike Richards- #10 Center, 27 years old. From Kenora, Ontario.

Justin Williams- #14 Right Wing, 30 years old. From Cobourg, Ontario.

Willie Mitchell- #33 Defense, 35 years old. From Port Mcneill, British Columbia.

Jeff Carter- #77 Center, 27 years old. From London, Ontario.

Dustin Brown- #23 Right Wing & Captain of the Kings, 27 years old. From Ithaca, New York.

Drew Doughty- #8 Defense, 22 years old. From London, Ontario.

Dustin Penner- #25 Left Wing, 29 years old. From WInkler, Manitoba.

Brad Richardson- #15 Center, 27 years old. From Belleville, Ontario.

I didn’t exactly list these guys in order of hotness or best player, but Matt Greene should certainly be number one. His defensive style is very unique and it’s hard not to be mesmerized when he’s on the ice, blocking pucks with his body (and sometimes his face) and punching his opponents the moment they enter the zone (he rarely gets penalties called for this, how does he get away with it?!).  During a game, he is all business and usually looks intense. He’s incredible, which is why he has an “A” (alternate captain) on his jersey.

I fell in love with this team just two years ago and it’s been a joy to see them get this far this season. To the fellas listed above and every member of this team and organization, GOOD LUCK!

GO KINGS!
