It’s September 25th, which means it is National Comic Book Day! Hooray! To be honest, I haven’t read too many comics, but I have just read Locke and Key by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez.
It is AWESOME. I’ve been recommending it to anyone who will listen. It’s basically about the Locke kids – Tyler, Kinsey and Bode – who move with their mother Nina to the ancestral family home, Keyhouse, after their father is killed. The quickly learn that the house is full of secrets when they discover these magic keys that let them do impossible things like turn people into ghosts, or erase someone’s memories.
The series isn’t done yet and the most recent issue broke my heart into a million pieces (in the best way). I can’t wait to see how it all ends.
What other comics should I be reading? What comics are you reading? I want to hear all about it. Tell in the comments below!
