ENTRTNMNT Grace Woodroofe: Budding Blues Queen Alessandra Rizzotti

Only 22 years old, Australian singer and songwriter Grace Woodroofe carries herself in the most humble way, her voice taking on the weighty emotions of an old soul.  She’s beautiful, bright and can sing the blues.  Having the early support of her career from Heath Ledger at age nineteen, Grace has since toured with Ben Harper on the east coast of the US, blossoming into an amazing singer with influences ranging from Jack White, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and The Beatles, to Nina Simone, Etta James and Patti Smith.  Her first album, Always Want, graciously captures her journey from  innocence to experience, and the balance in between.  Available on itunes, the album will be released in the US in January  I was lucky to sit down with Grace over tea to talk about her music, budding career, and intimate details about her favorite songs to sing…
