*shyly* I ordered 6 boxes this year from one co-worker’s daughter (who came in and asked each of us, which is what my mom made me do). Now I have other friend’s girls asking me to buy some. I may have to get more. They don’t put very many Caramel de Lites in a box any more, so I’ll get even more of those. This year I’ve ordered everything but the lemon ones and whatever the lo-cal ones are.

Oh man, they had these ones (not-so-appetizingly) called Reduced Fat Lemon Pastry Cremes and they ruled. They’ve been gone for years now, so I just eat my sorrows away with frozen Thin Mints and Trefoils.

Frozen Thin Mints are so awesome. Tagalongs are my other fave GS cookie. I was very happy when they brought back the original names, when I sold them I remember Tagalongs were called Peanut Butter Patties and Samoas were Caramel Delights.

Samoas and Thin Mints! It’s funny that over the weekend everywhere I turned there was a Girl Scout with her troops selling cookies. But now that I actually have cash they are nowhere to be found. Thank goodness there’s an app for that.

My parents would never take my order form to work either. My dad said that if I wanted to sell cookies in his office and i couldn’t make it in I had to make my own flyer talking about my goals and what I plan to do with the money. Truth is I am glad he did. I learned so much more having to do the work myself and earned a free week of camp the year I sold twelve hundred boxes of cookies.

I’m kind of a stickler now though. I won’t buy from girl who are in street clothes or from a girls parents. You either ask yourself in some kind of girl scout attire of the answer is no. (I used to say i wouldn’t but from a girl out of uniform but they are so expensive and i know not everyone can afford them. Which may be what they plan to but with their cookie money.)

It has always been about the Samoas for me but recently I’ve become a fan of the thing mints I put them in the freezer and then have them with delicious vanilla ice cream. HEAVEN!
