It’s time I get something off my chest, you guys. I love redheads.
My friends can think I’m weird all they want, I love gingers and I don’t care who knows it. It’s time they admitted they shared my feelings, anyway. I know I’m not alone. HelloGiggles friend Mindy Kaling tweeted about her love of ginger men at the Emmys. Don’t believe me? Check here (we’re basically BFFs now that we share a common love… you know you’re jealous).
Redheads are awesome! And different! And usually have blue, green or blue-green eyes to go along with their auburn locks. And we’re all suckers for blue, green or blue-green eyes. I’ve never met a redhead who I didn’t think was attractive in some way, male or female. I know I find them attractive because they stand out, they’re unique and kinda, sorta, uncommon and I’m drawn to it.
We all know the saying “Gingers have no soul,” but I think what people meant to say was, “Gingers are so awesome that we can’t think of anything bad to say, so we’ll make up some nonsense.” I’d blame my love of all things redhead on the time I spent in Ireland, but I’d be lying. I’ve always loved redheads and I probably always will. My first crush was on a redhead (second grade, thank you very much) and I spotted him at the gym recently and, yup, still super cute.
I mean, hello, look at all the famous redheads bopping around Hollywood:
Damian Lewis: Super hunk AND BRITISH! (Redheads with accents get extra points.)

On that note: Kevin McKidd, who is SCOTTISH and so so manly (real men wear kilts).

Elsewhere in Shondaland: Kate Walsh, who gets to kiss Taye Diggs and get a paycheck!

Photo: ABC/Justin Stephens
Christina Hendricks: Running Sterling Cooper Draper Price for all those Mad Men (bottled, but we’ll forgive her…she looks too great!).

Deborah Ann Woll: Baby vamp Jessica! She’s so pretty!

Photo: Lacey Terrell
Not to mention Ron Weasley… I mean, Rupert Grint! So cute and has his own ice cream truck; Lucille Ball: mother of all comedy genius (who doesn’t love Lucy?); Alyson Hannigan: Cool enough for two long running faves – Buffy the Vampire Slayer and How I Met Your Mother; Debra Messing: Grace to Will’s Will; Emma Stone: Naturally blonde, she chose the better color to bring out her sass. Julianne Moore, Reba, Marcia Cross, Amy Adams, CONAN! There are countless others and they are all wonderful!
Redheads get a really bad rap, but I think it’s high time to change that (because it’s unnecessary). Maybe we’re just all a little bit jealous of their beautiful, beautiful hair (I know I definitely don’t feel as special with my plain old brunette hair…but it does have some red highlights in the sun… sometimes!). There’s a pesky rumor out there that the redheaded gene will phase out of the human race if redheads don’t band together. This is the danger zone, you guys!
Just look at Prince Harry! We all know he’s the cuter Wales brother, even if he’ll never get to sit on the throne. Plus, he has that fun, wild, side that leads to naked pictures from Vegas. What girl would say no to that?!
Spread the love and share some of your favorite redheads below. And, don’t worry, haters gonna hate…and miss out on all the pretty.

Me! I’m my favorite redhead.
Haha in the Kevin Mc Kidd phott number 62 bus in it that means somthing to Edinburgh folk like me ha ha
Prince Harry and Ed Sheeran <3
Alan Tudyk
Ed Sheeran and the boy can sing, play, and rap like you wouldn’t believe. The power he has over a room of teenage girls is something to be admired. (I’m too old for that mess, but he is a lovely ginger!) Not to mention Rupert Grint appeared in his music video for “Lego House”. Not to be missed!
Deborah Ann Woll is also a bottled red. She’s naturally blonde like Emma Stone and Christina Hendricks.
This is so validating! I love gingers! Ruddy complexions, freckles and all! Prince Harry is the best.
“There’s a pesky rumor out there that the redheaded gene will phase out of the human race if redheads don’t band together.”
Prince Charles is a brun and Lady Di’s blond, so the ginger gene may not be so recessive after all!
Ed Sheeran! utterly shocked at the omission of such a paragon of red-hair virtue.
I love having red hair, I don’t care if other people dye theirs red too it looks cool. I used to hate it when I was a child because you don’t want to stand out. As you grow older it becomes something which helps you to be different and I have to say it seems to attract strong individuals who aren’t afraid to find something different attractive. So if you love us then we love you too. xxx
YES. YES. YES. YES. I luv me sum gingers.
it hurts me to hear the “gingers have no soul” line
my mom and brother are gingers and i’ve always envied them for it!
FASSBENDERRRRR!!!!!!!
and Karin Gillam is quite stunning.
Michael Fassbender! the hottest ginger of all. Unfortunately he changes his hair color for roles quite often.
I love being a redhead and this post makes me proud to be one. My favorite redhead celeb is Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine. She was not born with red locks but like so many other people who choose to color their hair, she is “red” at heart. Florence is vary sweet and creative. If you want to see red hair shown off in all it’s splendor check out her video for “Shake It Out.” The video is my all time favorite music video. ^_^
Benedict Cumberbatch! He’s been rocking dark hair as Sherlock, but he is one smokin’ ginger.
I LOVE Emma Stone with red hair, and was SHOCKED to find out it wasn’t her natural color. Can someone please tell me what color hair Jamie Bell has? Not that it matters the hair color, he is gorgeous either way. And Damien Lewis definitely had my vote before I even read the article.
Also, can we figure out what it is about actors who have the most wonderful fake American accents making them sexier? (Damien Lewis, Kevin McKidd, Andrew Garfield, Hugh Laurie, Colin Farrel, Liam Hemsworth, etc, etc)
Karen Gillan!!
None of those women are actual redheads! Dying your hair red does not make you a redhead! It’s having a love/hate relationship with your freckles, getting a sunburn after being in the sun for less than five minutes, and adamantly refusing to ever dye your hair.
While none of the women pictured are natural redheads, they have all been dyeing their hair red for years and years (decades). But, my apologies if I offended.
