When I was very young, my sister who grew up in the 90s taught me the craft of making friendship bracelets! These bracelets sort of died out when I was in third or fourth grade. I don’t know if it’s because it has become a “little kid thing”, or if they’ve just lost their popularity altogether, but I’m in a desperate attempt to bring them back! I don’t know why I am so easily entertained by making these bracelets, but I think it’s a perfect summer craft for anyone who needs a good hobby that’s very addicting! In my video this week, I’m teaching you three different methods that I have learned. I chose the three easiest so that everyone can learn the basics, but I know a couple more complicated ones so I will most likely do another video on friendship bracelet making if everyone likes this one! I’m so excited that some of you are going to start knitting because of my video last week! I hope this week’s post influences some of you too! Summer is the perfect time to pick up an old craft, or to start a new one! I hope you’re having a good week, and here’s an amazing gluten and dairy free cake mix that my mom baked for my sister and I over the weekend.

Do you know how to make the ones with words in them? I can send you a demo on that if you want!!!
I wear them all the time
Also FYI, you can make great friendship bracelets without tape if you have a clip board. They are not that expensive to buy and they make friend ship bracelets much easier. You can just clip the end to the top of the clip board.
Awwh friendship bracelets. They’re so classic! I used to trade them with friends back in elementary school but even after high school I found myself teaching some kids crafts after school and taught some kids how to make them. I think they’re not totally dead, it’s just that most adults have moved on from that magical friendship bracelet time of their lives.
Friendship bracelets should really be more popular, they’re the coolest jewellery ever! I started making those as well recently. They’re so fun to make! I used to be more skilled at making them when I was in primary school, but I’m getting back into it.
Yessssss!! I thought I was launching a one-woman campaign to bring back friendship bracelets! Now I know there’s at least two of us! Check out “BeyondBracelets” Youtube channel (I’m not connected with them, she’s just awesome!), excellent tutorials.
Id love them, when friends make me them I never task them off. I’m the kinda person who when I get a bracelet I never take it off, so i love when people make me them although I cant make them myself :/
OMGoodness, I remember these from when I was growing up (wait for it…) in the 80′s!! (I guess that makes me a rather senior Hello Giggles-reader). On top of that I was growing up in Europe, where I am going to be joining your quest to bring the bracelets back; you have just gone global! Great job bringing crafts to the people, by the way (from a lifelong knitter – but then again, I AM old
