Well hello there, gigglers!

I've never actually posted anything on this forum before. This is quite exciting! Anyways...Although I have a midterm paper due tomorrow, I have decided that this is more important, and I was thinking desperately of how to spread the word around outside of my immediate circle of friends. I thought to myself, "Well, you could tweet at celebrities!" But then another part of my brain thought about it and declared, "But, Kara! You have an intense fear of rejection! And they're probably not going to respond to you." So I pondered for another second and thought HELLO GIGGLES!!

So, here we are. Now, what is it that I am so desperate to spread the word about that I'm risking being utterly rejected? Kony 2012. What is Kony 2012? I'm so glad you asked!

Kony 2012 the most recent project of the Invisible Children movement. If you've never heard of Invisible Children, well, there's this bad guy (named Kony) who lives in Uganda. He kidnaps children and forces the girls into becoming sex slaves and the boys into becoming soldiers for his movement. The Invisible Children movement have organized in order to stop him. And, really guys, he must be stopped. Like, right now. They have recently released a video explaining all of this, and it's really important that everyone who can possibly see it sees it.

This is the most important thing you will do this year. Watch the video. Spread the word -- make Kony famous. And please don't make me feel rejected.
