Relax already!!

Does anyone remember the episode right after Ross was put on sabbatical from the museum and Joey tells him he needs to get better at relaxing?

Indeed, this is me. This week of being laid up because of my surgery has taught me something I knew but didn't really know. I am terrible at just sitting and relaxing. I feel like I should be up doing something all the time. All the time. I know I should take this time to really enjoy the free time I have because I know it's not long before I'll have babies and free time will be something of the past. But, I just have no idea what to do. Do I just sit? Nap at will? What do I do??

I'm thinking of doing some research on the subject, but that seems very very counterintuitive.

What do you do to relax?

First off, I love Friend's! Take a page out of Joey's book and do some prank calling of friends. My husband and I have this one friend from college who we prank call every few months...it's brilliant. Which reminds me, it's about time to call him again.

Do you enjoy reading? Now would be a good time to pull out that book you've been wanting to read. Magazines are also great too. ;)

I love watching TV. That is my form of relaxing (pathetic, I know). I would recommend subscribing to Netflix and start watching Arrested Development...right now. :) If I ever have surgery that will probably be my medicine.

Napping at will...yes...do it!

My husband just talked me into painting. I'm not very artistic but it's a lot of fun! It's actually pretty therapeutic.

Just do whatever you want. That's the beautiful of relaxing. Though nothing that is to strenuous since you are recovering from surgery. Good luck on your recovery! :)
