Give me your new music!

Postby Ptree82 » Wed Dec 21, 2011 9:34 am

A friend recently introduced me to The Wheeler Brothers http://wheelerbrothersmusic.com/
Has anyone heard of them? They're kind of indie, kind of folk, very fun! I love finding new music and my itunes needs a serious makeover. So what do you suggest I start to listen to next? Has anyone else discovered a new band/musician they would like to share?

Barely Blind.
You can download their brand new album, Wilder Child of a Thousand Suns, for free at www.barelyblind.com Very good pop rock. Also their drummer is named Will Smith.

Try this radio station Indie Verse out of Dallas Fort Worth Texas, I listen to it all the time because I love indie music. I guarantee you'll hear something you love. I have so many favorites. Try Cloud Nothings.

The Submarines Love Notes/Letter Bombs album. Or any of their music. LOVE THEM.
And I do not want to be a rose.
I do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
And have no thorns to distance me,

but be bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

Thanks for posting The Wheeler Bros. I had never heard of them, either. Goood stuff.
If you like them, you'll love Delta Spirit also. http://deltaspirit.net/

And somehow, I only just learned about the Civil Wars, and oh my God: I am IN LOVE. I can't listen to their music without getting all choked up! I have a Spotify playlist called "Heartwrenching". You'll hear them and others of my faves that move my soul!

f--k Up is fun as hell. It's like punk rock for grownups.
