I really hope we get a couple of people, at least! Then maybe we can have Hello Giggles send out a tweet about it?

Here's a link to the discussion questions:

And I do not want to be a rose.
I do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
And have no thorns to distance me,

but be bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

There will be at least 3 or 4 of us, I think. Which is pretty good considering it is finals and holiday times for a lot of people. We should definitely keep the idea going after this because even though the discussion hasn't started, I find it a really fun thing to be a part of.

xyz - Me, too! I like the idea of an online community - you get to meet some really cool people.

Hello Giggles tweeted something asking if they should start a book club. I tweeted back that we already had!

They didn't respond to my tweet and now they're tweeting that they'll read Mindy Kaling's book first. I just bought her book and am looking forward to reading it, but I don't know how good it will be as a book club book, you know?

The forum is the red headed step-child of Hello Giggles! I've already read Mindy's book. It was great but I agree that it is probably not a book club book. I don't know how far the discussion can go. That being said, Mindy is awesome, everyone should buy & read her book. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with wanting to promote her stuff.

I,myself, was eyeing this as a good candidate for our next selection.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I bought Mindy's book for myself and as a Christmas/birthday present for one my BFFs. And, yes, we are the red-headed step-child! I have to admit that I occasionally feel like HG over-promotes things. I get that they need income and that product placement does that, but I don't need to see it everywhere. Jezebel refuses to get any freebies. But I still love this site!

xyz - I've been hearing nothing but good things about that book, so I'd be down for that.

How much longer do you think it'll take you? I'm sure we can hold out for ya since there aren't that many people participating this time around!
