How do I upload a picture?

So I'm not very technology proficient. Can anyone tell me how I upload a picture in a forum? I tried to add an attachment, but it said the file was too big. Any help? Thanks!

I wish I could help, but I'm thinking that it might be easier to link to a picture on the internet?
And I do not want to be a rose.
I do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
And have no thorns to distance me,

but be bright,

bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

I use tinypic.com. After you upload a picture it gives you an [img] tag you can just copy/paste. And make sure you're in rich text and not quick reply.
