Spam Helpers

I know this idea has been put forth in a couple of other threads but I thought maybe it would get noticed more with a thread of its own. I think it would be a good idea for a couple of regular users of the board to have the ability to delete spam. I know the admins popped by and said that the spam problem was being worked on. YAY! But in between that post and the next time someone stopped by the entire Keepin it Real forum was attacked by spam for multiple days. The first half of page 1 was eventually cleared out but there are still pages filled with nothing but Spam. I'm sure all the board admins are busy bees and do their best to check in when they can so why not enlist some help of some more active posters?

Hi guys,

Rest assured, we've just brought on three people whose job it will be SOLELY to look out for all the spam. Also, our IT dept is looking at additional measures to keep them from being able to post in the first place. It's a process, so we appreciate you hanging in there with us! I'll be introducing the new mods tomorrow, so look out for a welcome thread for them - they'll be your contacts whenever you have a problem

It is sad. I feel like people would post more frequently if everything wasn't drowned in spam.
