Documentaries

Postby Lyne » Mon Nov 21, 2011 7:52 pm

I love documentaries and could always use a few more to rent or netflix. Tell me some of your favorites! And I will bestow you with a thousand thanks. I watch documentaries on a wide variety of topics but as of late have been watching a lot on LGBT and their mixings with Religions. But, I love all kinds as stated.

The other day I watched Michael Moore's first movie, Roger & Me. It was very well done and it was pretty funny to see Michael Moore in 1988.

I have seen a few of his documentaries, but not Roger & Me. I really should. I am from Michigan, and all. And grew up surrounded by the auto industry.

The last one I saw was called Dear Zachary. I was sobbing at the end. I forget the guys name who filmed it but he went across the country interviewing friends of his friend who was murdered so that the mans son could know who his father was. It was uber emotional.
P.S. There are some crazy people out there and if you commit a crime, run to canada cause apparently its hard to get you back and they wont keep you in jail ( well if your a white lady doctor that is) I digress

Jesus Camp. I love documentaries but haven't seen any in awhile.
And I do not want to be a rose.
I do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
And have no thorns to distance me,

but be bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

Jesus Camp scared the crap out of me. I practically hyperventilated. I never thought that something like that could be true...
