“Backwards” tells the story of Abi Brooks (played by Sarah Megan Thomas), a fiercely competitive rower, who fails to make the Olympic boat for a second time and reluctantly takes a job coaching rowers at a high school where her boss happens to be her ex-boyfriend, Geoff (played by James Van Der Beek). When given a chance to rejoin the Olympic team, Abi confronts the personal sacrifices and professional choices that impact the world of athletes with Olympic ambitions.

We're giving away TWO "Backwards" Movie posters autographed by the film’s stars Sarah Thomas, James Van Der Beek, Margaret Colin and director Ben Hickernell!! Would love to win a signed poster of "Backwards", as a surprise for my daughter's dorm room at college. She is a freshman at UC Berkeley, and actually a walk on coxswain for the men's team. She started rowing as a senior in high school, introduced by a friend - and fell in love with the sport! She's from Florida, and there were not a lot of options for rowing, so she found the best coach & team, and drove 500 miles a week to practice - never missing a thing! It's such a beautiful sport to watch, and she's now enjoying it (and working very hard) at the college level. She has met so many incredible kids (and parents) and learned that with commitment and sacrifice (and lots of blisters) comes rewards - win or lose....ROW ON!!
