I'm apparently in the minority here! I, too, think Jess was great for Rory but when the show ended I didn't imagine them being together. I think he was great for knocking her out of her slump so she'd stop acting like a rich trophy 'wife', but not for being anything more than a great friend who knows her well. I imagined Logan going off and eventually realizing Rory was totally right in her reasons for not marrying him, deciding not to do whatever his dad told him to do and, instead, learn from her and do what he actually wants to do. So I guess I imagined they'd be together again at some point, but as people who had grown into themselves a bit more.

No other fictional couple has ever caused me as much heartache as Rory and Jess (Summer and Seth are a close second)

I believe 1000000% that they ended up together!

In my mind Jess and Rory did end up together. I'm still upset Milo and Alexis broke up! But seriously I wish they had made more, I don't want to live in a world where One Tree Hill lasted longer than Gilmore Girls.

I am properly addicted to Gilmore Girls! I have the whole boxset and still watch them on tv all the time. I even went to the warner bros studio tour just to see the set. I got so overexcited when I was in the Gilmore house (which from the other side is Sookie's house), even though there's nothing in it.

I love love love Luke & Lorelai & really picture them getting back together, getting married and having children after the end of the last season. I was so mad at Amy Sherman Palladino for breaking them up in season 6, I felt like she was just doing it because she didn't get her own way and was leaving the show.

I liked Jess best of Rory's boyfriends and felt they were really well matched, but once Logan grew up I felt like they worked well too. I can not stand Dean and didn't like that she had an affair with him. I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess I see Rory meeting someone new after the show ended. I know Jess suited her well and maybe they would have reconnected, but she was only in her early twenties and had only really dated three people in her life, how many people marry one of their first boyfriends (although I did so I'm not saying she can't)?

This thread is really making me want to watch some Gilmore Girls right now!

I guess I am in the minority. I never liked Jess and Rory together. I refused to buy season three because that is the season they started dating. I hated how he treated her. Intellectually they were very compatible, but he treated her like dirt! I envision that she met someone new after Logan, and he would be a mixture of all the best qualities of all her ex-boyfriends.

Love, love, Love that show! I so relate to it being a single mom of a daughter who is now 16. But we watched this show together forever and still do on the DVD's sometimes. I loved Luke's character too. I will say that not much has ever compared to this TV show in my book except I really do love New Girl now and Modern Family is great too.

I have pretty much convinced myself that Rory and Jess end up together, too! His character matured so much in the later seasons. It was obviously meant to be.
There really just wasn't anyone else who was right for her.

Also, I find that theory about Tristan & Logan verrrry interesting. It actually makes a ton of sense.

Gilmore Girls is the best show.
Can't believe Lauren Graham was never nominated for an Emmy for her role as Lorelai.
I think Emily Bishop who played Lorelai's mom was also really funny.
It had such great cast chemistry and this show gets stereotyped a lot but it's really for anyone and it's so underrated!

Just go through the quotes on IMDb and try not to crack up

Oy with the poodles already!
