loosing weight

Postby jess » Thu Mar 22, 2012 2:34 pm

Last year during my finals (november) I started gaining weight becuase I stoped working out and ate trash, then I went back to my home town for the hollidays and realized that almost every social reunion is food-related, so when people don't see you in a long time they invite you to dinner, breakfeast, lunch, snacks and sooo. In February I traveled abroad for like a 1 month and a half, I hadn't been gaining weight till the las 20 days in Italy. I have a lot of family there and the food is fantastic and all homemade.Anyway I'm home now and I can't seem to fit into my jeans! HELP.So if anybody has good and healthy diets, worout sessions or tips I'd be thankfull!

First of all, I'm super jealous of all of your traveling! Now that you're not eating all over the world, some of the calories will probably come off on their own just from going back to your regalar diet. Each pound if worth 3500 calories so if you were eating 2000 calories a day over what you normally eat...well you do the math. I keep myself around 1600 calories when I want to maintain weight and 1200 when I want to lose weight. There are lots of calories out there that can give you a specific number based on your height and weight. You can google it or go to self.com. As for losing weight, I find that cardio is the fastest way to drop a few pounds. But as long as you move around and keep yourself on a healthy diet I'm sure you'll get back to your old fighting weight in a few weeks.

Good luck!

Thanks! I'm going to try cardio! I always find it hard keeping track of calories but maybe my new phone app will help lol.
I have to say I don't regret any pound after the travelling, I'll loose them evetually and the whole trip was FANTASTIC!

I struggle with weight horribly. I'm no good at dieting, and I've found calorie counting is the best thing for me, along with exercise. I use an app on my iPhone called My Fitness Pal that has helped a ton!! They also have a website that's free to join http://www.myfitnesspal.com
