I'm impressed with it! I never listen to enough new albums to be able to write a year-end review. I tend to listen to a bunch of stuff that I've never heard, but a lot of it is older. Same with books. I can never do a year-end list because books are expensive and I rely on the library and it takes forever to get a new book from there because there are so many holds on them.
And I do not want to be a rose.
I do not wish to be pale pink,
but flower scarlet, flower gold.
And have no thorns to distance me,

but be bright,
bright,
bright as yellow,
warm as yellow.

The same goes for me but I've been considering doing a list of music/books/movies that became important to me in 2011. I kinda like discovering old gems and not being able to believe how late to the game I am. haha

xyz - I might do the same for books! My favorite of the year has been Hamlet (which I had never read in its entirety before)!

The Airborne Toxic Event - All at Once is by far my favorite album of 2011. Have you heard it?

I loved this album. Do you like The Movielife?

Love Adele - 21 ( I think her older stuff is fantastic too, don't you just love it when the musicians who are passionate about music and not money or fame, become rich and famous? :D

She And Him - A Very She And Him Christmas ( as well as that fantastic cover What are You Doing New years Eve, by Zooey Deschamel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is still stuck in my head)

Asa - Beautiful Imperfection

they're my top 3 and now I'm too delirious to think of more plus its so quiet! that reminds me.. to help with stress or nightmares I listen to the Garden of Enlightenment lol :)
