Invented by Jimmy Eat World Or Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes! Both of those CDs were absolutely amazing from the first second of the CD to the last!

I'm a little late on this, but Made the Harbor by Mountain Man ended up being one of my most favorite albums of all time.

Strange Mercy by St. Vincent was one of my favourites.
There were also some great releases from Tune-Yards, The Mountain Goats, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, PJ Harvey, Kate Bush, and Atlas Sound.

I'd have to say El Camino by The Black Keys, it was released in december 2011 so i guess that could count as 2012

Right on sister. Here, here right with you.

I'm currently digging My Head Is An Animal (Of Monsters & Men) [Although released in 2011 in Iceland, it was released in the US in 2012].

Also,

Born to Die (Lana Del Rey)
Overexposed (Maroon 5)
Babel (Mumford & Sons)

The 2nd Law by Muse, Born to Die by Lana Del Rey, Conventional Weapons by My Chemical Romance (technically only some of the songs came out in 2012), + by Ed Sheeran.
