Love that song. In the lineup of best "first dance" songs ever, IMO.

I'm really scared that at some point it'll become too overused.

I think in 5 years when all the emo kids of our generation get married, it will. Luckily, I got married early so at least it wasn't overused then ahah. We are having a gigantic vow renewal this summer, and it's in my short list of possible "first dance" (I don't know what else to call it!) songs, but I have the same fear. That and the judge-y face that listening to Bright Eyes past age 17 gets you from most people.
...I wish and wish and wish.

Like a Star - Corrinne Bailey Rae

I love this song because its so romantic and elegant sounding. The end is my favorite part when she says:

Just like a star across my sky,
Just like an angel off the page,
You have appeared to my life,
Feel like I'll never be the same,
Just like a song in my heart,
Just like oil on my hands

And her voice is just perfect!!
    Often imitated, never duplicated.

Yes! Wedding playlists!

I'm in the midst of planning my own. My frontrunner for the "first dance" song is "Love You 'Till The End" by The Pogues. Generally, the pop I'd want would be indie rock/possibly a few 90's hits.

What do you guys think for Father/Daughter dances? It's so tough to find a song that's not totally overused, that also doesn't contain a weird lyric or two. For the record, I've dug all the suggestions so far.
