Young Adult Education suggestions

Hi everyone!

I write the column Young Adult Education (http://hellogiggles.com/category/series ... -education), which goes up every Saturday. Last week I wrote about Anastasia Krupnik and this week was John Green's An Abundance of Katherines. I plan on doing a mix of nostalgic picks from childhood and more current young adult books. I love YA fiction, so I definitely have a lot of ideas for the column, but I wanted to check out the forums to see if you guys have any suggestions. Are there any books you'd love to see me discuss in Young Adult Education? There are probably some books from childhood I forgot about , or some newer ones I haven't heard of yet. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

How about Anne of Green Gables?

I loved the Casson family books by Hilary McKay, starting with Saffy's Angel

I love Anne of Green Gables. My suggestions should be Blake Nelson's Girl or Cynthia Voight's Homecoming.

I love your column! Have you read Gayle Forman's If I Stay? She and Sarah Dessen are probably my favorite YA authors. I recently enjoyed Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler and My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick.

Oh, and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! I loved those growing up and was so excited when Ann Brashares wrote a final book that came out this year.

What about The Perks of Being a Wallflower? It still seems to be a controversial pick for the classroom, but I know of some schools that teach it -- to groups as young as 13!

Also, maybe the Pretty Little Liars series? Admittedly, I haven't read the books, but I'm freaking addicted to the tv show, so I'd like to know if the books are as enthralling
