This was one of those books I couldn't put down. Set in the 1920's, The Paris Wife is a fictional story based on Ernest Hemingway's relationship with his first wife Hadley Richardson. I fell in love with the idea of being an American writer in Paris during the 1920's, I fell in love with the idea of bullfighters putting themselves in the face of death, I fell in love with the picture of Ernest and all of his notebooks, and best of all, I fell in love with Hadley and the love she and Ernest must have had. Paula McLain is a wonderful author.
I think it's a stellar book! Has anyone else read it? What did you think?
