Forum Chatter: The Walking Dead, Music For Kids & Crafty Redecorating Chrissa Hardy

Hello giggle-verse!

Here’s the latest chatter from the forum:

“The Walking Dead”
I’ve yet to get sucked in to this show, but I know plenty of people that absolutely love it. I dig zombies, so I guess I’ll have to Netflix it. The forum users are raving about it too. They’re also saying that the comic is actually better than the show! What do you guys think? Have you read the comic?

Music for Kids
The question of whether kid-appropriate music is currently on the radio, came up in the forum. If your son/daughter is tired of listening to Disney tunes, what are your options? I feel like all boy bands are tame enough, Jack Johnson is a beachy and kid-friendly fellow, Adele’s strong lyrics would be great for nurturing a young lady’s independence, John Mayer, Bon Iver, U2 and of course, She & Him are all artists that have generally clean lyrics.

Crafty Redecorating
Redecorating can be a great way to not only spice up a room, but your state of mind as well. It can feel like a fresh start or an invigorating change. Sometimes it’s just what we need to get out of a funk.

Here’s a brilliant tip on redecorating from one of our forum users:

Your biggest challenge will probably be getting rid of stuff. A quote I always loved and found useful when cleaning is “Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.” So with your overflowing closets, get rid of any clothes that you don’t wear anymore and if you’re really crafty you can reconstruct them into something new like making scarves or maybe sew some fun shirts together into a throw blanket and frame some graphic tees to replace your movie posters as wall art. Also hanging a curtain rod isn’t very hard if you have an electric drill to hang up the equipment. There’s something about power tools that make me feel super independent!
