Welcome to Forum Chatter, where the gigglers gab.
As I write this, I’m realizing that I’ve been glued to my computer screen for the last three hours. It can be hard to step away from our digital lives especially if our jobs require us to be constantly “logged in.” One of our forum users is looking for tips on how to separate from the digital world, even if just for a little while each day.

I’m not sure how it affects all of you, but I feel like I am glued to my computer and the internet all the time. I was just wondering how everyone disengages from their smartphones or computers and interacts with people in real life? I know there’s meditation and reading, etc. But how do you find the motivation to disconnect from time to time?
So how do you step away? Share your tips here.
Do you have a favorite author? I actually don’t think I have one. It’s hard to choose just one with so many amazing books out there. Our friends in the forum are talking about David Mitchell, Marcus Sedgwick, Nick Hornby, Vladimir Nabokov, Sophie Kinsella and so many more!

We’ve talked about songs that make us cry, but what about songs that you just find to be beautiful? Beautiful songs can elicit any emotion. The songs that I find most beautiful are instrumental tunes. The theme song from “Local Hero” by Dire Straits is one of them.
What are some of yours? Let us know!
