Teaspoon of Happy Fathers come in all shapes and sizes

A father figure can be described as someone with wisdom; someone that personifies strength. Which is why Father’s Day is a day to celebrate not only our fathers, but also those who have inspired strength within us in our lives, be they male or female, blood-related or not.

It’s a funny thing but strength is contagious. Seeing it another person will show you where it lies in yourself: a human answer-key of sorts. When you witness a loved one fulfilling their potential beyond what you could believe was possible, it shows you what you have dormant inside of you. You are much stronger than you realize, if you just got a sneak peak of the possibility that it exists, you would know it was there.

The same goes for your affect on the lives of those around you. You may not even know how you have already inspired another, or what you have meant to them. Do not underestimate the impact of just being there for someone. Sometimes all it takes is one person to change the entire course of life.

Today as you think of your own personal strengths, consider someone that has inspired you or still continues to inspire you in your own life. If they are still with you, celebrate them today. Let them know what they have meant to you.

Happy Sunday, and Happy Father’s Day everyone! (Especially you Dad!) Xox Sarah

  1. Made me think of this: “You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” -Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh.

  2. Wow, Sarah. I’ve never thought of it like that, but this is brilliant! It is true that we don’t realize how strong we really are, how strong we can be. There is a greek saying that goes “Pray that God will not give you everything that you can handle”. Because we can handle A LOT. A lot of pain, of misfortune, of heartbreak, of tragedy. We are strong. So if we can make Father’s Day be not only about celebrating our wonderful Dads who are a silent force of stability in our lives, but also about remembering how we can be our own best friend and helping hand even in the worst, it’s the best message of hope! As the song says..”Be your own Personal Jesus” ;)
    Have a beautiful week xxx
