There’s something about fall here in the Southern Arizona desert–it doesn’t exist. At all. The cacti (yes cacti, not ‘cactuses’) don’t change colors. The weather drops to a cool 101 degrees. All of the cuddly birdies, bunnies and rattlesnakes parade the open air and roads to enjoy the, um, “cooler” weather. Nonetheless, I know fall is here thanks to the sheer amount of pumpkin deliciousness flanking grocery store aisles – deliciousness that I’ve purchased by the boatload like I’m on episode of Hoarders. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is this: fall will always bring back memories of pumpkin and all of the other lovely things associated with the season–namely, beautiful orange and red leaves. And you know what they say–if you can’t beat ’em, paint ’em….? Yeah, let’s go with that!
