Get Involved Dress to Remember: Donate a Prom Dress Hannah Skvarla

While looking through the Big Sunday community calendar I came across LA’s Prom Dress to Remember. I have always loved the idea of a prom dress drive. By donating a prom dress you help girls achieve their prom dreams. You give a a girl who can not afford a dress the opportunity to look beautiful at prom.

Prom Closet “Dress to Remember” is an annual event in Los Angeles that helps girls achieve their prom dreams. Each girl participating in the event gets her own personal shopper and participates in beauty workshops.

The event needs 200 volunteers for Friday, April 27, Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29. There are two volunteer shifts each day. Volunteers tasks include: helping girls shop, and steaming dresses, helping girls register for the event. Volunteers must be 18 and older and must present a valid photo ID or Driver’s License. For more information, please contact Floramae Yap at lapcvolunteer@gmail.com.
