Marissa Explains It All Demystify Manifestation! The Five Simple Principles To Creating The Life You Want Marissa A. Ross

People might say I’m a moderately New Age thinker. I definitely go around touting the positive thinking badge, and the only reason I get away with it amongst my mostly skeptical friends is because it actually works for me. Some call it “manifesting”, others call it “luck” but on the real, I pretty much get what I want out of life.

Sounds like a pretty bold statement, right?

Of course.

But I’m not here to be shy, I’m here to tell you why it works.

It’s because manifesting isn’t magic, it’s hard work. It’s the same principals successful people have used for forever. It’s not sparkle dust and it’s not a snap of the fingers. It’s about having a goal and working towards it. Here are the five things you need to start leading the life you want to lead:

1. Passion

2. Focus

3. Confidence

4. Perseverance

5. Faith

Now, you’re probably thinking “Well, great. Thanks, Marissa. Thanks for enlightening me.”

Well, now hold on a second and let’s put all these things into practice.

If you are passionate about something, there’s a good chance you eat, sleep, breathe it. It’s all you think about. You probably devote a lot of time to it. If you’re passionate and focused, there is no way you’re not going to make choices that positively affect your goal. You want to be a NY Times bestseller? Well, I’m sure you’re writing as often as you can– honing your skills and making yourself a better writer– and you’re probably looking for every opportunity to submit your work. Is your publishing deal going to ride in on a unicorn? No, it’s going to probably come in the form of an email after you’ve worked your butt off. Passion pays!

But you’ll never get that deal if you don’t believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, you’re probably not putting yourself out there. You must take risks and you have got to put yourself out on a limb. Do whatever it takes to be in the eye-line of your peers and get involved in the industry you want to be a part of. If you want others to believe in you, you have to believe in yourself.

Alright, so this brings us to perseverance. If you’re putting yourself out there continuously, you should be ready to be knocked down. Anyone who has achieved their life dreams was denied those dreams before actualizing them. You will get a thousand “no”s before you get a “YES”, but that one “YES” will have more impact than any of the “no”s. You just have to work through them and know that what you do makes you happy and that is what counts. Haters are always gonna hate, so just stay strong. What doesn’t break you, makes you!

And then you gotta have faith, faith, afaaaaiiith! You have to know your hard work isn’t in vain, which is hard for even the most zealous of us from time to time. There are days I want to pack it all in and give my type worn finger tips a darn break, but you know what? I’ve come too far and I’ve worked too hard to give up now. I know my efforts will be rewarded. So will yours. Know that. Know it in the darkest parts of your soul, that you will be rewarded for your hard work. Because the truth is, you get what you give.

So, put down your wands and your copy of The Secret you’ve been scorning for not giving you the keys to life. Not that I have by any means, but hey, at least I’ve put the key positive affirmations in bold for you to use while you’re busting your butt to make your life happen. It isn’t magic. You don’t need a degree from Hogwarts. All you need is you. Take all the love you’ve got, and go get the life you’ve always wanted. You deserve it.
