Playlist of the Week Daydreaming
Corinne Caputo

I am the king (queen?) of daydreaming! Seriously. I do it almost constantly. I mention my day dreaming habit in this playlist but I think when you day dream as much as I do, it needs a playlist entirely it’s own.

Much like Mindy Kaling’s revenge fantasies I have my fair share of revenge dreams along with dreams of being Hermione Granger or dreams of being as determined as Leslie Knope or dreams of eating as many pastrami sandwiches as I want…

The more I day dream, the weirder they get but that’s what makes it great, right?

The following playlist is technically  a playlist I commute to but I’ve found that it also provides the perfect backdrop for some awesome daydreams.

HelloGiggles: Daydreams

Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson – I Am The Cosmos
Her Space Holiday – Sleepy Tigers
Spiritualized – Hey Jane
Jeremy Fisher – Come Fly Away
Bon Iver – Bruised Orange
Kings Of Convenience – Homesick
Belle And Sebastian – Another Sunny Day
Camera Obscura – The Sweetest Thing
Coldplay – Strawberry Swing
Maria Mena – You’re the only one
JayMay – Never Be Daunted
The Ditty Bops – There’s A Girl

What songs do you find you day dream to? Share in the comments below ! (Feel free to share future Playlist of the Week suggestions too!)

  1. I think Spiritualized’s album “Ladies and Gentleman We are Floating in Space” is great for daydreaming (specifically the title track). I actually had a conversation with a friend once about how it was so hard to get past the title track and to the rest of the album because it was just so beautiful. Nico Muhly’s “Mothertongue” is also a good one as well as “Souvlaki” by Slowdive. Most of the music in the “dream pop” genre would probably also work.

  2. Jill Barber’s “Mischievous Moon” is a great way to pass the time. I love the nostalgic feel it has.

  3. The Rockabye Baby: Coldplay Lullaby Rendition… AWESOME.

  4. oooo such a good playlist!! obsessed with Strawberry Swing (and Frank Ocean’s cover)

reminds me of this “I Think I Like You” playlist: http://bit.ly/NkgWfw
