Meghan, I am so glad you wrote this! Daniel Day Lewis has been my crush for probably the last 10 years of my life– although they would never admit it, my friends think it’s a bit of a strange crush.
I have been in love with him as an actor since he made “In the Name of the Father” and let’s not forget his amazing role in “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”. Yes, I also totally agree that his non actor side is also equally as hot! What woman wouldn’t love a man who can make shoes! Okay, enough gushing from me, just wanted to say kudos to you for telling the world what many women are thinking– Daniel Day Lewis is a total hottie!

Oh, yes, Daniel Day Lewis is a favourite. How about his role as Tomas in “The Unbeatable Lightness of Being”? Delicious…
I’ve met DDL in person. He was in full leather bike gear, and his hair was wild and crazy, and he was just gorgeous (and, yes, soft-spoken). He came into the jewellery shop I was working in, and I offered my assistance, but sadly, he’d come in to deal with the manager. Probably for the best, though, as I would have just gotten so flustered and made a fool of myself
